Tion Uqbar Orbis Tertius Book

This book is inspired by Jorge Luis Borges’ story Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius, which describes a fictional world that slowly replaces reality through language, history, and memory. The story explores the relationship between fiction and truth, and how human beings can become trapped inside systems they create themselves.

In this project, I translated the atmosphere of the story into an editorial design format. I used soft and minimal colors, archive-inspired layouts, and structured typography to create a logical and almost documentary feeling. The clean visual system contrasts with the surreal and philosophical narrative of the text, creating a balance between order and uncertainty. Through this project, I wanted the book to feel like an artifact from another reality — something both familiar and fictional at the same time.
